Body Armour Destruction Service

Given that ballistic body armour is classified as a prohibited weapon in Australia, it cannot be discarded without destruction in general waste. It is also by nature hard to destroy.

We offer an armour destruction service, which in line with our ISO 9001 certified quality system, guarantees safe and reliable destruction, then disposal of used armour, to prevent it falling into the wrong hands.

Our process involves rendering the armour inoperative by cutting it into small pieces (soft armour panels) or crushing (hard armour plates). Depending on the armour materials and quantities, disposal options include recycling, secure deep burial or general waste. All serial numbers are recorded and a certificate of destruction is issued upon completion, plus serial number records of destroyed armour retained indefinitely.

Repair Services

We offer reasonably priced repair services to keep damaged Hellweg vests in service for as long as possible. Where items cannot be repaired, we can provide replacement of sub assembles where doing so is more cost effective than a new vest.
