WARNING -READ CAREFULLY

Since 1982 Hellweg has produced products of quality with efficiency and safety in mind. For the protection and safety of our valued customers the following warnings must be read understood and adhered to prior to and during the use of all Hellweg Body Armour products.

LIMITATION

Soft Body Armour is designed to offer ballistic protection under specific circumstances against specific threats. BODY ARMOUR IS NOT "BULLET PROOF" AND CANNOT MAKE THE WEARER IMMUNE TO ALL POTENTIAL THREATS. Always exercise extreme caution and follow standard police safety procedures at all times.

Each model of Body Armour is designed to stop specified projectiles at specified speeds under guidelines established by the National Institute of Justice USA. Refer to the charts on the Body Armour panel for listed projectiles related to each Body Armour model. All N.I.J. sanctioned test results shown, on the Body Armour panel label, or on any other Hellweg printed material were made on sealed and undamaged armour panels by use of standard factor loads specified by the National Institute of Justice

PROJECTILES NOT SPECIFICALLY LISTED MAY PENETRATE SOFT BODY ARMOUR. Items that can penetrate Soft Body Armour include sharp pointed instruments such as ice picks. knives or arrows. Soft Body Armour will not stop rifle projectiles, special purpose or armour-piercing projectiles, or rounds that achieve higher than standard factory speeds, including, in many cases, rounds fired from modified or non-standard handguns.

Recent tests have shown A DETERIORATION OF BODY ARMOUR'S PROTECTIVE CAPABILITIES OVER TIME. Factors that contribute to this deterioration are ultra-violet rays from exposure to sunlight and exposure to bleach and chemicals from improper cleaning practices. Hellweg recommend that Body Armour be replaced five years after date of manufacture

Aramid fibre will lose a percentage of its protective capability when wet. Do not submerge any Aramid fibre vest in liquids.

DO NOT ALTER OR MODIFY YOUR VEST AND DO NOT USE IT IF THE PANEL PACKAGE SEAL HAS BEEN BROKEN, DAMAGED, OR OTHERWISE INTERRUPTED, OR IF THE PANEL PACKAGE HAS BEEN DAMAGED IN ANY WAY. Use only the outer garments recommended and manufactured by Hellweg as panel carriers.

VEST PROTECTIVE COVERAGE WILL VARY ACCORDING TO VEST SIZE, STYLE, FIT, AND YOUR OWN BODY CONFIGURATION. SELECT THE PROPER

1 YEAR ON FABRIC CARRIER GARMENT

Subject to the Warning Limitations set forth immediately above, Hellweg extends the following Limited Warranty to the ORIGINAL PURCHASER of Hellweg Body Armour IN PLACE OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, EXCLUDING INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FROM THE BODY ARMOUR OR USE OF THE BODY ARMOUR.

1. ANTI-BALLISTIC BODY ARMOUR PANEL.

The Body Armour is warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 10 years from the date of manufacture shown on the Armour label.

Should the Armour panel package or non-interchangeable garment be broken, interrupted or damaged in any way, cease using the Body Armour immediately and return it to Hellweg, for an inspection and repair in order to ensure proper functioning. In the event that the damage or interruption of the package has not been caused, as determined by Hellweg, through neglect or abuse, the panel will be inspected and repaired at no charge, provided that all postage and mailing costs are paid by the original purchaser. If the damage or interruption of the panel is determined to be caused by neglect or abuse, Hellweg will advise the owner of recommended repair or replacement and the cost.

The Warranty for Body Armour shall be immediately terminated and of no effect should the Body Armour (including panel package) be damaged through neglect or abuse, or should the Body Armour be worn or used with a damaged or interrupted panel package, or should any part of the Body Armour be altered or repaired by any other person than Hellweg.

2. FABRIC CARRIER GARMENT.

The Hellweg Fabric Carrier Garment is warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one year from the date of purchase. This Warranty is forthwith terminated should the cleaning instructions attached to the Carrier Garment not be complied with or should the Carrier Garment be abused.
